From its beginnings in 1967, the School of Public Health has endeavored to help society prevent illness and improve life. Professional excellence and a strong sense of mission permeate each area of specialization, including biostatistics, environmental and occupational health, epidemiology, health administration, health education, health promotion, global health, and public health nutrition. Individuals who are unable to leave their current employment to come to Loma Linda may study in extended campus programs which are offered in several locations throughout the United States. Students in these programs are active in various professions: nursing, medicine, hospital administration, dentistry, education, and theology. The MPH degree obtained through the extended campus programs enhances their ability to serve. |
