Situated in the heart of the vibrant metropolitan area of Minneapolis, the University of Minnesota School of Public Health offers students a broad interdisciplinary approach to public health research and practice, and the chance to work alongside world class public health thought leaders. The University of Minnesota is home to six health sciences schools (in addition to Public Health, there is Medicine, Nursing, Veterinary Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy), one of only a few universities in the country to offer this scope of resources and interprofessional opportunities.
The University of Minnesota School of Public Health offers masters and doctoral degrees in a dozen different majors, four interdisciplinary concentrations, and numerous dual degree options.
The School enjoys a close relationship with the Minnesota Department of Health, based nearby, and with a host of non-profit organizations, medical device companies, health service organizations, and managed care companies, so there are outstanding opportunities for internships and jobs after graduation. The School’s mentor program, the largest of its kind in any school of public health, matches students with public health mentors in many of these organizations. |
