| Since its founding in 1976, Boston University School of Public Health has been noted for its spirit of innovation and responsiveness to changing student and community needs. Today, the School educates current and future public health professionals for a practice-oriented career. Courses are taught by full-time faculty and by individuals who practice public health in the community, adding a "real world" dimension to the classroom experience. Our students range in age from 22-50+ and come from 37 states and 40 countries. Home to many health care organizations, hospitals, universities, and local, state and federal government agencies, Boston offers public health students a wide variety of educational and professional opportunities. Our degree programs include a Master of Public Health (MPH) in eight concentrations, a Master of Science (MSc) in epidemiology and health services research, a Doctor of Science (DSc) in epidemiology, environmental health sciences, and health services research and a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) in Maternal and Child Health, International Health and Social and Behavioral Sciences. Five dual degrees are also available: MD/MPH, MSW/MPH, MBA/MPH, JD/MPH and MA (Medical Sciences)/MPH. |
