STEP UP to Sustain Tobacco Control and Prevention through Education and Research |

Sponsored by the Association of Schools of Public Health (ASPH) and The American Legacy Foundation (Legacy)
This workshop was organized to explore methods to promote and sustain the development of education in tobacco control and to enhance participation in tobacco studies, and research among graduate public health students and professionals.
The two day workshop will provide a forum for faculty at the member schools of public health (SPH), ASPH-member programs, and vested partners to :
o share information about the results of STEP UP grantees in curricular innovation and research activities;
o support sustainable tobacco-related curricula and research in all SPH, with a special emphasis on best practices in academic-practice partnerships; and,
o evaluate best approaches to integrate tobacco-related public health education and research with other chronic disease conditions.
